University of Hertfordshire: Illustration Studio
For this project I was asked to design and paint the illustration studio, at the University of Hertfordshire, with the aim of transforming the space into something much more exciting and inspiring for the students.
I was given free rein to do what I liked with the studio so came up with a few ideas that I then discussed with the Illustration and Graphic Design lecturers. Eventually, we picked an overall natural theme to bring some of the outside in - as the room features two walls of windows.
We were hoping to encourage the students to spend much more time back in the studio, having spent a few years learning online through the pandemic, to encourage collaborative work and community.
I was given a small team of students to help paint this huge space in such a short time, which was invaluable and exciting.
